Wow…so where to start.
First, let me say, none of these individuals or groups are in any way sponsoring me to talk about them. They were just so phenomenal I wanted to share.
Everyone needs to hear what they are saying. These are in no certain ranking or order.
Just what my brain is spitting out today.
So..Steven Bartlett….if you haven’t caught ANY of his YouTube content, The Diary of a CEO, you are MISSING OUT. I couldn’t even tell you which episode has been the most profound. They are all that good.
The one that I watched this week was with Michelle Obama….WOW. Throughout the conversation, Michelle underscores the importance of empowering young people, especially women, to trust their voices, set boundaries, and pursue their aspirations with confidence.
She talks about imposter syndrome and overcoming the feeling that you aren’t worthy enough to go for that next big job, or attend that event, or put yourself out there to be a speaker.
Got me fired up.
Next up in the Ya Gotta Check it Out List….is over on the Alignable Platform. Just finished the workshop titled: 3 Stories You Need to Tell in Your Marketing by Victor Felix.
I’m always interested in what other branding/marketing agencies are doing, which is what prompted me to sign up to attend.
Victor Felix out of Orlando, Fl (nod to my fellow Floridian!!) did an incredible job, not only bringing usable, easy to understand, action items for anyone wanting to perfect their brand’s story, but went above and beyond when it came to offering insight into consumer habits.
If you haven’t joined the Alignable Platform, which focuses solely on networking, you are missing out. Some of the most profound sessions I’ve experienced this week have taken place there.
In particular, what resonated with me in Victor’s session was the following:
And in a dead tie are my girls, Mel Robbins & Natanya Bravo. For those of you who don’t know who Mel Robbins is, you are in for a freaking treat. She’s that friend, you know the one. Tells you what you might not want to hear, because she loves you and wants you to be your best self, and because she knows you can be. Her latest book, The Let Them Theory is a game changer. Finished Chapter 10 this week. If you’ve read it, you KNOW
You. Know.
Speaking of getting to your heart, Nantanya Bravo (don’t you just LOVE the last name?) has a show on YouTube called The Bravo Life. The episode I watched this week was titled, How to Close the Identity Gap/Shift Your Identity. Fave quote from this: “The version of you that built your current life, cannot come with you to your next level.” That smacked me hard. Maybe it just grabbed you too. But of course, the reason it zinged me is that somehow, somewhere deep down, I know that’s the truth. And I’m ready. I mean, transformation is at the heart of what I do for clients each and every day, right?
Bring it on.
What shows, books, webinars make you have the deep feels, that inspire and give your soul a pinch with its truth and reality?
